Weekly Cask Update! This week, we did something a little different and cask-conditioned a pilsner. We took our newest pilsner, Mogul Mania and cask-conditioned it with gin-soaked oak. The fruity and citrus notes from the gin play wonderfully with this New Zealand-style pilsner. There’s definitely no wrong time of year for an Amaretto sour, but it always seems fitting around the holidays. This December, we decided to spruce up the tried and true classic to bring even more joy to the season. Meet Yuletide Bliss: A Cocktail featuring Amaretto Disaronno, Brugal Añejo Rum, hand-made orgeat, lemon, and egg white, topped up with a healthy dusting of nutmeg to give you a wonderful sensory experience that will make you wish every season was holiday season. This cocktail is named Nakatomi Plaza, after the building in which John McClane heroically fends off Hans Gruber that one fateful Christmas Eve. This drink features Suntory Toki Japanese Whisky, Heering Cherry Liqueur, Yellow Chartreuse, Fresh Squeezed OJ, Lemon, and Demerara sugar. Our next festive cocktail is dedicated to the spirit of the days where the snow comes down hard and the schools close down. The Snow Day is a riff off of an old fashioned using @drinkhighwest Double Rye, @heeringcherry , Demerara Sugar, Cranberry Bitters and Orange Bitters. All this gets served over a large cube of ice in a glass that’s been smoked with a stick of cinnamon. It’s guaranteed to give you as much glee as you got on a cold winter morning growing up when you found out you weren’t going to have to go to school. #snowday #whymcocktail #seacoastdrinks
